Welcome to Community Transit’s Procurement Information Section.

Community Transit’s Procurement Department supports the purchasing of goods and services that are essential to providing transportation services for the citizens of Snohomish County. In serving Snohomish County’s needs, Procurement staff are dedicated to providing efficient and responsive service, in full compliance with Community Transit’s legal requirements, while upholding the highest ethical and professional standards.

The goal of this site is to assist our vendor community in doing business with Community Transit by providing information and access to current solicitations.

Community Transit advertises all solicitations (Invitations to Bid and Requests for Proposals) over $10,000 on this website. Any solicitation over $100,000 dollars will also be advertised in the Everett Herald.

Solicitations

Vendors interested in contracting with Community Transit may obtain active solicitations on this site or by contacting the appropriate Procurement Specialist. All responses to solicitations must be submitted in writing on the forms provided in the solicitation document and according to the information provided in each solicitation. If you are interested in obtaining a solicitation, please register as a vendor and download the solicitation. If you have any questions, please contact the appropriate person at the number listed for each procurement.

• Current Public Works Projects ($100,000 or above)
• Community Transit has partnered with Builders Exchange of Washington to provide electronic access to project documents and plans for selected solicitations.  Builders Exchange provides innovative tools to enable contractors and business partners to view online, or download, plans, specifications and relevant addendums, including the Bid Recording Form.
• Small Works Roster (Projects below $100,000)
• Community Transit is a member agency who awards routine service or small works projects using the General Administration’s Small Works Roster for contractor solicitation. We encourage you to join The Small Works Roster Pool by applying online at http://www.ga.wa.gov/eas/smlwrk-roster.htm.

• Current Small Works Projects
• You may view Community Transits projects by accessing the General Administration Small Works website at http://www.ga.wa.gov/Construction/3contractor.html
• Community Transit will send invitations to bid to contractors who are registered on the Small Works Roster for the public work project's specific category of work. Contractors must have a valid Washington State Contractor's license and, depending on the project, bonding, such as bid bonds, performance and payment bonds, may apply. Additionally, insurance coverage, such as Commercial General Liability Insurance, Business Auto Liability, Worker's Comp, may apply, and the contractor must have the ability to name the Community Transit as additional insured.
• Community Transit is a public agency and, per the Revised Code of Washington, prevailing wages apply on all public works projects. Prevailing wage rates are available from the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries. Click on the Prevailing Wages link to obtain the current wage rates for Snohomish County and to obtain more detailed information regarding prevailing wages.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Information

Community Transit promotes and encourages small business participation, which may include small minority and women owned businesses, and small businesses owned by persons with disabilities, on its contracts. Firms are reminded to afford all potential business partners an equal, non-discriminatory opportunity to compete for business as joint venture partners or subcontractors.

Community Transit is interested in firms that demonstrate a commitment to equal employment opportunity and encourages firms to employ a workforce that reflects the regions diversity and to adhere to non-discrimination provisions. To be considered as a DBE, participating firms must be certified by Washington State Office of Minority and Women's Business Enterprises prior to the bid/proposal submittal date.
