Skate Parks

Community Transit serves many of Snohomish County's skateparks. And let's face it, waiting for your parents to give you a ride can be a hassle. Why not take the bus to your favorite destination and enjoy the freedom to move around?

Arlington
18204 59th Dr NE
Served by Community Transit Route 230
The Arlington skate park has a well earned nickname: “Gnarlington.” This is the most severe terrain you can tackle in Snohomish County, with bowls offering no easy way in or out, and depths from 6 feet to 12 feet, plus a 17 foot diameter full pipe with a bulleted end cradle. The monster bowl section in this park challenges even the most experienced pool shark, and bigger wheels are a given. Rounded out with a smaller but very fun street section, Arlington includes a 6 stair down rail, hubba ledge, small double set and mini EMB ledges. This park has a great mix of challenging terrain. Arlington is definitely a go. There aren’t too many services around so be sure to load up on water and snacks.

Bothell
9815 NE 188th St
Served by Community Transit Route 105 and King County Metro Transit
Bothell is getting ready for an upgrade, and it still has the only true halfpipe around. The wide open two tennis court format gives you plenty of time on the roll to attack the quarter pipes or pyramid, but watch out for cracks. With quarter pipes with bigger transitions and some fun flat rails, Bothell is a great alternative on those busy nights when other parks are overcrowded (Woodinville).
Edmonds
Civic Center Playfied, 6th Ave N & Bell St
Served by Community Transit Routes 110,  116,  416
This park just opened and features modular style concrete features. This open mix of elements includes a 2’ mini spine ramp, very cool “C” curved ledge and low/high manual pads. The 4’mini ramp has a quarter pipe hip on one side, and a stairs set with down hubba ledge on the other. There is also a small pyramid with a ledge/rail combo and banked roll in for speed. A small round rail on the flat finishes out this park from Skate Concept.
Everett
Walter E. Hall Park, 1226 W Casino Rd
Served by Everett Transit
The Everett skate park mixes a good combination of street features with some transition elements and an oval bowl. With plenty of ledges to grind and manual, you can loosen up and flow around the edges of the park. The center of the park features a pyramid and ledge combo, with banks and quarter pipes on either end. While this park was designed ages ago, it has withstood the test of time with a still current very fun flow.

Lynnwood
Lynndale
73rd Ave and Olympic View Dr, Edmonds
Served by Community Transit Routes 119, 190
The Lynndale park takes a small area and packs it with a lot of features. While the flow is non-existent, the elements in the park can be sessioned one at a time to get warmed up. The highlight is a low ledge to high drop or the steeper flat bank hip. The quarter pipe and adjacent bank to curb set up offer some different combinations you won’t find in too many other parks. If you get confused, watch the locals. They rip this place apart.
Marysville
1050 Columbia Ave
Served by Community Transit Routes 201, 202, 221
The Marysville park is amazing. Designed with input from locals and Frank Hirata, this street style park includes a step up curb cut, 3 up/3 down set, long double set, killer pyramid and ledge combos, plus a monster 9 stair rail. This looks like a competition style street course and the great flow offers street dogs terrific variety. While the pool sharks might want to pass on this one, it is a fantastic street destination for the tech flippers. You could bang out your whole video part in this place if you needed to.
Mill Creek
13903 North Creek Dr
Served by Community Transit Route 105
This park offers a mix of bowls with an innovative street course. The bowl has deep and shallow ends with quick transitions and a mix of pool and pipe coping. Make sure the bowl is free of pine needles, though. Slippery. The street course offers up several different sections that all tie together. High hubba ledges. A small two up set with ledge looks like a mini Pier 9. There is a medium double set begging for the SSBSKF. The 8 stair down rail for the heavy hitters is not joking around. This park offers a lot of features in a small amount of space. Well done, Mill Creek!
Monroe
Fryelands Blvd
Served by Community Transit Routes: 270, 271, 275
The Monroe skate park is fun for younger, learning skateboarders. While the X-Games won’t be coming to Monroe anytime soon, the park is user friendly and very visible from the adjacent playground. Monroe can be fun especially if you like ledges, flat rails and smaller drops. The small ledges, mini pyramid and modular ramps offer something different than in other communities. If you have young children learning to skateboard, this park should be your first stop. Advanced skaters have been known to clean house in games of skate while nailing down switch tricks.
Mukilteo YMCA
10601 47th Pl W
Served by Community Transit Route 113
Call the YMCA for hours (425) 493-9622, waiver/pads required (parent signature if under 18).
Holy smokes. This place has two or three of everything. With a combination attack mixing street features and different sized bowls, The Muk is a must skate park for any true fan of skateboarding. Grindline designed this masterpiece with a combination of insane street terrain mixed with all shapes and sizes of transitions. There’s also a banked hip in the street section and manual pad. The deep bowl offers hips galore and pool coping. The mini bowl spines into the mid bowl with steel coping, complete with an over vert pocket and loveseat on the vert wall. If you haven’t had a chance to bark out a grind on pool coping, check out the YMCA park in Mukilteo. You will be stoked.
Snohomish
116 Union Ave
Served by Community Transit Routes: 270, 271, 275
First and foremost, you need a helmet at this park. The Snohomish skate park is a fun jumble of weird transitions, smaller coping and a good pyramid. With a collection of rails and other fun features, Snohomish is worth a skate. The horseshoe bowled end can also be sessioned as a halfpipe, which is nice. The park is right near the bus stop so locals can roll to the park easily.
