Swift Celebration Nov. 29

Community Transit is inviting everyone to celebrate the launch of Swift bus rapid transit.

On Sunday, Nov. 29, Community Transit will host a public celebration to launch Swift into service. The party will be held from 2-4 p.m. at the Crossroads Swift Station at Highway 99 and 196th Street in Lynnwood. People attending the event are asked to park at the Lynnwood Transit Center (20100 48th Avenue West) and catch a special shuttle to the party. Shuttles will begin operating at 1:15 p.m. and will run every 15 minutes until about one hour after the event.

The event site is unimproved; please wear sturdy shoes.

Several regular bus routes also serve bus stops nearby, including Routes 101, 116 and 118.

The first Swift buses will begin special service between Everett and Shoreline during the event, with free rides until midnight.Swift will begin its regular weekday service at 5 a.m. Monday, Nov. 30.
