Employee Transportation Coordinators (ETCs) are faced with the constant challenge of implementing and promoting commute alternatives to their employee population with increasingly limited resources. Bicycle commuting is one of the most cost effective program elements that can be supported by worksites participating in Commute Trip Reduction.
This training will discuss ways you can create and enhance your current Bike Commute program. Topics included in this training will be ways of making a strong argument for management support of a bicycle program as well as maximizing your efforts by utilizing bicycle events and incentives such as Bike to Work Day and the Bike Commute Challenge.

Parking Management refers to various policies and programs that result in more efficient use of parking resources. Cost effective parking management programs can usually reduce parking requirements by 20 - 40% compared with conventional planning requirements. The reduced need for parking directly correlates to an increase in commute alternatives that support trip reduction.

While some vanpool groups are able to form on their own without the need of assistance, in many cases employees need help getting organized, staying motivated, and recruiting enough riders to form a new vanpool group.
This training will discuss different techniques and tools available to ETCs that they can use to help create, market and enhance a vanpool program at their worksites.
