More Commuter Parking in Marysville

Construction HIghlights
  • Approximately 60 construction workers have been kept busy by the project.
  • 10% of the storm runoff will filter into a rain garden along Cedar Avenue, protecting ground water and creating an attractive border.

With ever-increasing demand for access to service, Community Transit is building a new park & ride at Cedar Avenue and Grove Street.

Construction began in early July. The lot should be open for service on Nov. 30. Click here to track our progress through our photo gallery.

The facility will have 213 parking spaces, plus additional parking for motorcycles and bicycles. The boarding area will feature a large shelter and the entire lot will have lighting, landscaping and security cameras.

Located on existing commuter bus routes and close to many businesses, the new facility will make it easy for area residents to ride the bus to it or to use it as an alternative to the busy park & ride lots at Ash Avenue north and south of Fourth Street. Its central location will make it easy to get to businesses along State Avenue or to take the bus to reach other locations.

Current routes expected to serve the lot are:

  • Route 207 (Marysville - Boeing)
  • Route 421 (Marysville - Downtown Seattle)
  • Route 821 (Marysville - University District)
In addition to the commuter bus connections, the Cedar & Grove lot  is also just one block from local bus service on State Avenue. Community Transit has had a strong commitment to Marysville, with 11 bus routes serving the city and three park & rides in the area. The Marysville Ash Avenue Park & Ride was the last to open in 2003.
