The Community Transit Board of Directors will host a public hearing on proposed service changes that would take effect in February 2013.
The public hearing will take place 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6 at the monthly Community Transit Board of Directors meeting, 7100 Hardeson Rd. in Everett.
Among the routes with proposed changes, Route 112 would begin to serve the Lynnwood Transit Center, Route 417 would be routed off Highway 99 and 44th Ave. and Route 885 trips would be converted to Route 880 trips.
Also, thanks to federal and state funding, Community Transit plans to operate 30 additional commuter trips a day between south Snohomish County and downtown Seattle and the University District. The trips would be scheduled where there is highest passenger demand.
Public comment on the proposal is being taken through Sept. 7.
