NB 176th Street station

SB 238th Street station

NB 148th Street station

·         Approximate construction dates: Now through July 23.

·         During construction, the northbound right-hand lane will be closed before the intersection of Highway 99 and 148th.

SB 196th Street station

·         Approximate construction dates: Now through July 7.

·         Structural work on the Swift station shelter.

·         Some traffic delays and lane and sidewalk closures should be expected while some of the heavy steel material is moved into place.

Aurora Village Transit Center station

·         Approximate construction dates: Now through July 13.

·         Structural work on the Swift station shelter.

·         Some pedestrian disruptions can be expected.

NB Lincoln Way station

·         Approximate construction dates: June 30-August 14.

·         During construction, the northbound right-hand lane will be closed before and after the intersection of Lincoln Way and Highway 99.

SB 148th Street station

·         Approximate construction dates: July 7-Aug. 8

·         During construction, the southbound right-hand lane will be closed before the intersection of 148th and Highway 99

ARLINGTON

Routes 230 and 240 will be rerouted off of Olympic Avenue in downtown Arlington between noon and the end of service on July 4. Temporary stops will be located on West Avenue near Third Street and on Maple Street between West and Olympic Avenue.

BOTHELL

Routes 106 and 120 and Sound Transit Route 535 will be rerouted from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or until streets reopen. Some bus stops along portions of Beardsley Boulevard, Main Street, 185^th and Highway 527 near downtown Bothell will be missed. The closest stop for Route 120 will be on northbound 100^th NE, north of NE 190^th.  For Routes 106 and 535, the closest stop will be at the upper loop of UWB/CCC.

EDMONDS

Routes 110 and 131 will be rerouted from 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or until streets are reopened. Route 131 will have temporary stops in each direction on Howell west of Fifth Avenue.

EVERETT

Routes 271 and 280, and Sound Transit Route 510 will not serve the Wetmore area in downtown Everett from the start of service until 1:30 p.m, or when roads reopen. No temporary stops along the reroute are planned. 

STANWOOD

Route 240 will miss all stops west of Stanwood Middle School from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. or until the street is reopened.

Route 221 will continue to serve all its regular stops on 105^th Street NE and behind the Casino during this time. Passengers can transfer between Routes 222 and 221 for bus service in this area. There may be waits for the transfers at the following locations:

For Route 222 to Marysville:

• Board the Route 222 bus at the regular stop on eastbound 99^th St NE, or
• Board Route 221 bus at either 105^th St NE @ 30^th NE, and transfer to Route 222 bus at one of the regular stops on southbound 34^th Ave NE (Quilceda Blvd), or
• Board Route 221 bus at either 105^th St NE @ 30^th NE, and transfer to Route 222 bus at the regular stop on eastbound 88^th St NE, just east of 36^th Ave NE

For Route 222 west to Tulalip (flag down the bus driver):

• Board the Route 222 bus at the stop on eastbound 99^th St NE, or
• Board Route 221 bus at either 105^th St NE @ 30^th NE, and transfer to Route 222 bus at one of the stops on eastbound 99^th St NE, or southbound 34^th Ave NE (Quilceda Blvd).

DART service will continue to operate as usual within 3/4 of a mile of all local bus routes.

Construction work continues on the Swift bus rapid transit stations along the Highway 99 corridor. Construction for the next two weeks will take place typically from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. Wet weather could affect the ability to work at various sites as well as the schedule. A member of the construction crew will be on hand at each site to assist pedestrians while work is underway.

On July 3, all Community Transit services will operate on Sunday schedules. Commuter buses will not operate. The  RideStore and Customer Information will be closed.

On Saturday, July 4, Community Transit buses will operate on regular Saturday schedules.

Please remember that fireworks are not allowed on Community Transit buses or at park & rides.

Construction on Caspers St. at Third Ave. in Edmonds may result in the city closing both streets. Should that occur, Routes 114, 115, 116 and 416 will be rerouted.

If a reroute occurs:

Board westbound Route 114/115/116 at:

• Regular stop on southbound 9th Avenue, just south of Hindley Lane, or
• Regular stop on westbound Dayton, between 2nd Ave and Sunset.

Board eastbound Route 114/115/116 at:

• Regular stop on eastbound Dayton, just west of 3rd Ave.
• Regular route 416 stop on northbound 9th Avenue, just north of Mountain, or
• Regular route stop on northbound 9th Avenue, just north of Hindley Lane.

Board southbound Route 416 at:

• Bus stop on eastbound Main, just west of 9th Ave.
• Route 404 stops on westbound Dayton, or
• Regular Route 416 stop on southbound 5th Ave, just south of Dayton.

SB 216th Street station

·         Approximate construction dates: Now through June 10.

·         During construction, the southbound right-hand lane will be closed just before and just after the intersection of Highway 99 and 216th.

·         The bus stop at 216th has moved to its permanent location 150 feet to the south.

NB 238th Street station

·         Approximate construction dates: Now through June 15.

·         During construction, the northbound right-hand lane will be closed just before and just after the intersection of Highway 99 and 238th.

·         The bus stop at 238th has moved to its permanent location 150 feet to the north.

During the worst traffic, Route 222 will be rerouted off 27th Ave NE. Sign up to receive alerts by text or email should that occur.

Note that due to their hazardous nature,  fireworks are not allowed on Community Transit buses under state law.

Signs will be posted at affected bus stops.

Events that will temporarily impact bus service are taking place in:

• Arlington
• Bothell
• Edmonds
• Everett
• Stanwood

Due to construction, Campus Way NE on the UW Bothell/Cascadia Community College campus will be closed June 15 and 16. Routes 120 and 121 will not serve the stops near the library or bookstore. The closure also affects King County Metro routes.

Please board or deboard your bus at the first stop in the Campus Loop.

Due to the closure of Olympic Avenue for the Arlington Show 'N' Shine Car Show, Routes 230 and 240 will operate on MacLeod Ave for the entire day.

Please board the buses at:

Northbound: Temporary zone on northbound MacLeod, north of 1st St

Southbound: Temporary zone on southbound MacLeod, north of 1st St

Buses will remain on Marine Drive and not serve the Totem Beach Road area during the parade reroute. Please board Route 222 at the stop in Silver Village, on northbound Ellison James Road.

Due to construction, the bus stop on Smokey Point Blvd. & 154th Street will be removed temporarily effective Monday June 8.

Northbound Routes 200, 201, 202 and 207 will serve a temporary stop approximately 200 feet south of the regular location.

Passengers may board northbound Routes 532 and 535 at 10th & 102nd St  or at Bellevue Transit Center Bay 4.

SB 216th Street station

•  Approximate construction dates: Now through June 9.
• During construction, the southbound right-hand lane will be closed just before and just after the intersection of Highway 99 and 216th.
• The bus stop at 216th has moved to its permanent location 150 feet to the south.

NB 238th Street station

• Approximate construction dates: Now through June 11.
• During construction, the northbound right-hand lane will be closed just before and just after the intersection of Highway 99 and 238th.

SB 238th Street station

Due to construction in the vicinity of 35th Aveny & Seattle Hill Road west of Mill Creek, Routes 114, 115 and 116 may experience delays this summer.

Varying lane closures and traffic patterns make the delays hard to predict, but they may range from no time lost up to 20 mintes.

Community Transit is working with the county contractor to request that buses get priority when passing through the area to help keep on schedule.
