Due to a water line break and bridge closure, Route 222 is on a reroute on the Tulalip Reservation. Buses will miss all stops on 64th Street NW and on Totem Beach Road in the Tulalip Bay area.

Buses are serving Silver Village and Alphonses Bob Loop Road as well as the Boys & Girls Club.

Buses will return to regular route when the road and bridge reopen.

Sound Transit and Everett Transit operate on Sunday schedules for the holiday.

Other holiday closures for Community Transit:

• Thanksgiving Day- Thursday, Nov. 25
• Christmas Day - Saturday, Dec. 25 (also no service on Sunday, Dec. 26)
• New Year’s Day - Saturday, Jan. 1 (also no service on Sunday, Jan. 2)

Due to the installation of new curbing at the Casino Road Swift Stations, buses will be dropping off and picking up at revised locations on Saturday. Passengers still have access to the stations to use the ticket machine or ORCA readers to pay fares before boarding.

Please board or deboard Swift at the Everett Transit bus stops near the Swift station.

Due to fair traffic and to provide direct service to the Evergreen State Fair, Community Transit Routes 270, 271, 275, 277 and 424 will be on a minor reroute in Monroe Aug. 26-Sept. 4.

Buses will not serve the Monore Park & Ride directly after 8:30 a.m. on weekdays or all-day Saturdays.

Instead, buses will turn right after entering the fairgrounds parking lot. A temporary bus stop is located there, a short walk from the park & ride. Buses will pickup and drop-off passengers there by request.

Buses will then serve a temporary stop at the west fair entrance before returning to Highway 2 to continue their regular routes.

Please expect delays in the afternoons and evenings due to congestion around the fair.

Route 271 will be rerouted while Main Street is closed on Saturday for the Monroe Fair Days Parade. Stops on Main Street and Village Way will not be served during that time.

Due to road work on Highway 530, Route 230 will be rerouted off the highway onto the Oso Loop Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Please board or deboard at the stops at Hwy. 530 & Oso Loop Road or Hwy. 530 & 221st Avenue NE during this time.

Due to the Finish Strong Triathlon in Monroe, Route 271 will be rerouted off Fryelands Boulevard from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.

Buses will miss all stops on Fryelands and on 154th Street SE.

Please catch your bus at regular stops on 179th Avenue SE or on 162nd Street SE/Main Street east of the roundabout.

Due to the installation of new curbing at the Everett Station Swift terminal and at the southbound 41st Street Station, buses will be dropping off and picking up at revised locations on Saturday. Passengers still have access to the stations to use the ticket machine or ORCA readers to pay fares before boarding.

Everett Station

Southbound buses will board passengers on the west side of the Swift terminal, opposite the usual bays at either H-1 or H-2.

Northbound buses will deboard passengers at Bays A-4 and A-5, near the train tracks (stops normally served by Island and Skagit Transit).

41st Street Station

If installation crews have the station blocked, please board at the Everett Transit stop immediately to the south.

All Community Transit buses make stops on 2nd Avenue in downtown Seattle either inbound or outbound. Due to several pending construction projects in Seattle and an expected increase in traffic congestion, King County Metro Transit is considering reducing the number of bus stops on 2nd Avenue. Reducing the number of stops would improve the on-time performance of buses and the flow of traffic overall.

The recommended changes would close the stops at 2nd & Seneca (often identified as 2nd & University) and 2nd & Madison and reassign the stop at 2nd & Spring to a "white" zone, to be served by Community Transit routes.

The changes would take place with the February 2011 service change.

Although many Community Transit commuter buses are air-conditioned, even buses with AC can get hot, especially when they are crowded and doors are opened frequently.

Most local buses are not air-conditioned, but open windows offer a welcome breeze when the bus is in motion.

Community Transit serves some  "cool" places including: local libraries, waterfront parks and public pools and Alderwood mall.

Please be prepared for hot travel by drinking water, waiting at shaded stops when possible and removing jackets before leaving air-conditioned buildings. Wearing sunscreen can also keep you cooler when outside.

Public comment on all these proposals will be accepted through Sept. 6. A public hearing before the Community Transit Board of Directors will take place at 3 p.m. Sept. 2 at the Community Transit Board Room, 7100 Hardeson Rd., Everett (accessed by Everett Transit Route 8).

Due to an anniversary celebration for Sultan City Hall, Community Transit Route 271 will be rerouted from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 14.

The two stops on 4th Street, between Main and Alder, will be closed during that time. Customers who normally board Route 271 at either of these stops will need to board or deboard at an alternative location.

Route 271 to Gold Bar:

• Norhbound 4th, just north of Birch - Flag the bus

Route 271 to Everett;

• Eastbound Birch, just east of 4th - Flag the bus

Due to the installation of new curbing at the Colby Avenue Swift station on eastbound Pacific Avenue in Everett, the station will be closed for boarding from 7 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Passengers still have access to the ticket machine and ORCA readers to pay their fares before boarding at the Everett Transit bus stop 200 feet to the west on Pacific Avenue.

Please allow yourself extra time for payment at the station and boarding your Swift coach at the alternative stop. The Swift bus will not wait.

Road work on 230th Street in Mountlake Terrace is now substantially complete and Community Transit Routes 112 and 130 will return to regular route at the start of service on Aug. 12. Regular stop posts are not yet in place at 230th Street & 60th Avenue, so stops there will be marked with temporary markers until posts are re-installed.

Due to Gold Bar National Night Out Against Crime events, Lewis Avenue will be closed between 4th Street and 10th Street Tuesday night. Routes 270 and 271 will be rerouted to Orchard Avenue.

The bus stop on Lewis & 6th Street will be temporarily closed. Please board or disembark from the bus

• on Orchard Avenue at 7th Street, where you will need to wave down the coach operator.
• or at the regular stop on 10th Street, south of Orchard.

Due to National Night Out activities, Routes 221 and 280 will be on reroutes in downtown Lake Stevens while streets are closed for the event.  Route 221 to Lake Stevens will not be serving stops on eastbound 20th Street NE, between 117th Ave NE and 124th Ave NE (Main Street).

During this closure, please board the bus at the following locations:

Route 221 to Marysville/Tulalip:

Due to the Tour de Terrace Parade on Friday evening, 56th Avenue W will be closed between 220th Street SW and 236th Street SW. During the closure, Routes 112, 130, 414, 810 and 871 will be rerouted.

Route 112 will not travel north of 236th Street. Buses will serve stops on 236th Street between 56th Avenue and the Mountlake Terrace Transit Center. Stops on 56th Avenue and 230th Street will not be served.

Routes 130, 414, 810 and 871 will operate on 58th Avenue and serve the following stops:
